Through her life Lexi has studied art and expressed her creativity by experimenting with her own hair and makeup pulling inspiration from classic television shows, movies and vintage style icons such as Lucille Ball, Sophia Loren, and Cher. She moved to Chicago in 2013 from Columbus, Ohio after earning her Cosmetology license from the Aveda Institute. Lexi apprenticed Goran and his team at Goran Coban Salon for one year and then proceeded to build a clientele over the span of three years as a Stylist, Colorist and Makeup Artist. Although she no longer cuts hair she believes her knowledge of the craft has given her deeper understanding of shape, suitability and individualized color placement. As she discovered her true passion to be a Colorist she joined Smith & Davis as an Apprentice and devoted a year to mastering the world of hair color. Her skill set is vast and varied but she loves creating lived in looks using beautifully placed Balayage.
She is constantly on the quest to further her education on the current trends of the beauty industry and recently attended the Sassoon Master Class as well ongoing Wella trainings. Lexi feels strongly that beauty knows no gender, race, or age. Living in a city with such diversity she wants to approach her work as well as her client relationships with a sense of fluidity and intention.
