Mina started her career in 1992 attending the esteemed Pivot Point Academy. Upon graduation she worked for several years at the infamous Heidi’s Salon Gold Coast & Woodfield, rising from Apprentice to Colorist and eventually transferring to their San Fransisco location. Chicago is her home so after some years her city called her back to work with the best of the best at MacDaddies. Mina has held a variety of roles as a Colorist, Salon Manager and even Salon Owner. She is thrilled to again collaborate with Michael Davis who she worked with at Gro Salon before he opened Smith & Davis!
After taking a break from hair to raise her twins Mina is excited to be back doing what she loves most, helping people feel beautiful. Grey coverage/blending, classic highlights and foiling, rich brunettes, bleach and tones and vivid block color are where Mina’s talent really shines. However after being a Colorist her entire career she is taking on learning the craft of Hair Cutting! She’s taking clients 3 days a week and will be in class 1 day a week.
Other than building her clientele at Smith & Davis, Mina spends her time tending to her vast flower garden and reading (over 1000 books). She also feeds and rescues her neighborhood strays, playing on both teams of cat & dog!
